Today was a good day.  Jon Mead arrived.  For those that don‘t know, Jon is the Mead half of RittmanMead.com.  I haven‘t met him before but he is a good guy.  Appears to know what he is talking about which is comforting to say the least.  The last week of my stay began yesterday with work as usual.  We are just keeping up with the plan, I am done with 22 of 25 indicators planned for the first 2 weeks so I am slightly behind but I expect to catch up in the next 2 days or so.  There is a slight scope creeping going on as to be expected but this always gets me, I somehow always assume that the customer has made up his mind.  How naive!

Today was interesting since after work the 3 of us, Börkur, myself and Jon went over to the Sheraton to have dinner and perhaps a beer or two.  Upon arrival we find out that the German Day is being celebrated in the Pirates Cove which is a restaurant in the hotel.  Of course, we immediately became German and Börkur‘s „Bitte, willst du mich von hintern nehmen“  and „Achtung, achtung - Ich habe einen ananas in meinem anus“ became instant hits.   The thing is that there was this amazing buffet with free drinks and no one asked us anything.   In the picture you can see Börkur and Jon looking their smartest enjoying dinner.  As you can see we (they) were a little underdressed for the occasion but people mostly ignored us and we had a nice dinner and nice drinks which was excellent in this country of so much extravaganza, but just in the wrong places.  Or they were afraid of us and thought we were some riff-raff off the streets. 

Anyway, a good day.
